This procedure was followed, allowing cadets and guests to enjoy the informal portion of the dance. The Administration apologies for any wrong impressions perceived that might indicate there was a breach of standards and discipline. The cadets, faculty, staff and parents all agreed that this year?s Ring Ceremony and Dance was the best in years." - --------------------- Knowing that from time to time concerns may arise, we, the officers of the AABOD, continue to support the Administration of VFMA&C in their efforts to uphold the customs and traditions of our Alma Mater and thank them for their response to the concerns of the alumni. Radnor Township police are investigating an incident that allegedly happened Saturday night involving a faculty member at the Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, Pa. Symantha Hicks -- a first year guidance counselor at the boarding and day school for boys, grades 7-12 -- is accused of providing alcohol to underage cadets as well as alleged sexual misconduct with at least one of the teens. School officials say Hicks was fired following the alleged incident. Radnor Police Chief William Colarulo tells NBC Philadelphia that an investigation is ongoing, but he would not comment any further. The academy released a statement Wednesday that reads in part: ?Both an internal investigation and an investigation with the Radnor Police Department were initiated. The parents of the cadets involved were also notified. On December 6, 2011, the administration determined there was enough evidence to immediately terminate Mrs. Hicks from duty permanently. The Radnor Police Department and Valley Forge are continuing their investigations.? Hicks is married with three children, according to her bio on the school?s website. Sources tell NBC Philadelphia police searched Hicks? home and office, but no charges have been filed. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.16 (Darwin) iEYEARECAAYFAk7gt4kACgkQKWZyO29ebPb69QCg6wyIT28Mh2kJ3xDkf91fnfD/ hEoAn0CQRJu219IfviONw0G7i/XgDxVW =bJru -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
