On January 31, 2020, 21-year-old Ryan S. Hernandez (aka Ryan West, aka RyanRocks) plead guilty to federal crimes including a computer hacking scheme and possession of child pornography. When FBI agents searched his home and electronic devices in June, 2019, they found "more than one thousand videos and images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, stored and sorted in a folder directory he labeled “Bad Stuff.”"
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Hernandez was sentenced to three years in a federal Bureau of Prisons facility for inmates with cognitive challenges, seven years of supervised release following prison, and he was required to register as a sex offender. The case was investigated by the FBI Seattle Cyber Task Force, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Steven Masada.
